Rules and risks for donations and membership vault deposits — read before you sign in MetaMask.
Last updated May 2026 · Jondo Private (individual operator)
Scope
This page applies to voluntary crypto flows on /membership (donations and membership vault). Commission fees for private events are separate — agreed in writing after an accepted inquiry, usually wire or crypto by arrangement.
Not a company product
Payments support Jondo Private (individual operator)'s personal artistic work. They are not shares, bonds, profit-sharing, or deposit accounts. No interest, dividend, or guaranteed return is offered.
Donations
Donations below the membership threshold go directly to the operator’s treasury wallet. They are gifts to support the tradition — not purchases, not membership, and not credit toward a future commission.
Donations are generally non-refundable once confirmed on-chain.
Membership vault
Deposits from $5,000 upward lock in a public smart contract on Ethereum mainnet for twelve months.
If you book a qualifying private event within that period, the deposit may be credited toward your commission as described on the site and in your contract.
If you do not book, or after the lock period expires, funds may be swept to the operator wallet per the on-chain rules — you may forfeit the deposit.
Maecenas tier follows the same vault mechanics with additional artistic benefits described on /membership — still not a financial product.
Your responsibilities
Before sending crypto you should:
- Verify the correct network (Ethereum mainnet) and contract addresses shown on the site.
- Understand gas fees and irreversibility of blockchain transfers.
- Assess tax and reporting obligations in your country (we do not provide tax advice).
- Use only wallets you control; we are not responsible for user error or phishing.
Risks
Cryptocurrency is volatile. USD figures shown on the site are indicative only.
Smart contracts may contain bugs despite testing; use at your own risk.
Regulatory treatment of crypto varies by jurisdiction and may change.
Email confirmations
If you provide an email after a successful on-chain transaction, we send a receipt and may notify the operator. Email is not proof of legal title — the chain is.
No chargebacks
Blockchain transfers cannot be reversed by us. Disputes about commissions are handled under your written engagement terms, not card chargeback schemes.
Tax & invoices
We do not issue automatic tax invoices or receipts for crypto donations or vault membership deposits. USD figures shown in wallet history are indicative (historical daily rates), not accounting documents.
Commission work may be invoiced separately off-chain when agreed. See /legal/tax for the full notice.
